Marketplace role
HandyTac is an online platform that connects customers with independent service providers. HandyTac is not a party to any agreement, work performed, or transaction between users, and does not employ, supervise, direct, or control providers.
Providers are independent businesses
Providers listed on HandyTac are independent businesses or contractors. They are not employees, agents, partners, or representatives of HandyTac. Any contract for services is solely between the customer and the provider.
No guarantees
HandyTac does not guarantee the quality, performance, licensing, insurance, safety, scheduling, availability, qualifications, or outcomes of any provider or service. Verification badges indicate that a process step was completed and are not a warranty of a provider's work, conduct, or credentials.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, HandyTac and its owners, employees, and affiliates are not liable for any disputes, damages, injuries, property loss, contract disputes, payment disputes, or service quality issues arising from interactions between customers and providers, nor for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform or services arranged through HandyTac. The platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
User responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for evaluating and verifying any provider's licensing and insurance for your job, for communicating respectfully, and for complying with all applicable laws. Customers hire providers at their own discretion and risk. Customers are responsible for vetting providers, reviewing their qualifications, verifying licensing where applicable, and determining suitability before hiring. Providers are responsible for complying with all applicable laws, providing accurate information, and maintaining any required licenses and insurance.
Verification disclaimer
HandyTac may verify a user's email address, phone number, and government-issued identification. Verification confirms only that a specific process step was completed. It does NOT guarantee a provider's skill level, workmanship, trustworthiness, or future conduct. Verification badges indicate a completed step and are not a warranty of any provider's work or credentials.
Background check disclaimer
HandyTac reserves the right to conduct or obtain background checks in the future. By using the platform, users consent to such checks if and when they are implemented, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Current verification badges do NOT imply that a background check has been completed unless a specific "Background Check Verified" badge is explicitly displayed. Customers should never assume a provider has passed a background check unless that specific badge is shown.
Prohibited conduct
You may not use HandyTac to: harass, threaten, defraud, or harm others; post false, misleading, or unlawful content; impersonate any person or business; circumvent fees or verification; scrape or misuse data; upload malware; or engage in any illegal or unsafe activity. Violations may result in removal of content and suspension or termination of your account.
Account suspension & termination
HandyTac may, at its sole discretion and with or without notice, suspend, restrict, or terminate any account that violates these terms, poses a risk to users, or is the subject of credible reports. Reports are reviewed by admins, who may suspend or disable accounts.
Contact sharing & privacy
Customer and provider email and phone numbers remain private by default. Contact information is shared only when a user explicitly chooses to share it. In-app messaging is the primary method of communication. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.
Payments
HandyTac does not process customer-to-provider payments in this version. Providers may subscribe to plans; subscription handling will be activated in a later release.
